Brief + Challenge
Realms Magazine is a conceptual music publication created to explore the cultural significance of influential rap acts from both the United States and the United Kingdom. The goal was to design a magazine that not only presented information but elevated each artist's story through bold visual storytelling, experimental layouts, and cohesive branding across multiple pages. The magazine needed to maintain a strong narrative thread while allowing each artist's personality and artistry to inform the individual design approach for their respective features. I wanted each spread to feel like one big visual story.
Deliverables: Branding /Editorial Layouts / Motion graphics

Concept + Solution
The concept for Realms Magazine was built around the idea of "sound translated into visuals."
Each artist’s section visually mirrors their unique musical style, journey, and cultural footprint through tailored graphic treatments and typography choices.
The solution involved crafting flexible design systems — using experimental layouts, textured backgrounds, bold typographic hierarchies, and consistent branding motifs, while ensuring each feature remained distinct yet cohesive within the overall magazine identity. This created a layered reading experience that felt immersive, energetic, and respectful to each artist’s individuality.
